2020 Summer Reading Program

Join us ONLINE in June 2020 to "Imagine Your Story!"

  • Children 4th grade (Fall 2020) and younger are invited to participate
  • Register here
  • Printable instructions and calendar here
  • Check out EPL materials and/or attend EPL virtual children’s events. Staff  will add 5 Legos to the Lego World in the child’s honor for each.
  • Pictures of the Lego World will be posted on the EPL Facebook page.
  • Weekly STEM/Craft kits are available on a first come first serve basis to the first 100 children registered for the program. Parents will be notified via email for pick up dates and times.
  • Free books will be available towards the end of the program on a fist come first serve basis to the first 100 children registered for the program. Parents will be notified via email for pick up dates and times. Staff will select the book for the child and will make an effort to match an age appropriate book whenever possible.
  • Any other prizes will be given away as random drawings.

    • Aeosop’s Stories & Animals

      Ashley, from Emmet County Conservation, will retell some of Aesop’s Stories and sharing the animals featured in the stories.

      We would love to see you blow bubbles, eat your root beer floats, or just drop by and let us know what your favorite book was, or your plans for the summer. Online programs:
  • Cookies of the World Series.  Join local volunteers each week in June to learn about a cookie that is unique to their culture or personal traditions.  Each week will feature a video or photos and a recipe along with samples of the featured cookie to be handed out to those who check out curbside materials on the date the cookie is featured!  More details to come.
  • Free Streaming Film & Discussion.  Landmark Native American film Neither Wolf Nor Dog (theatrical trailer:  https://youtu.be/C3Csj94qfMc) will be offered to the first 50 viewers throughout the first week of June, with a live chat Q&A that Saturday with the film-maker!  More details to come.
